The Hon. Principal Judge Awarded Honorary Doctorate.
It was a blissful moment on Saturday December, 14, 2013 as the Hon.\r\nPrincipal Judge, Hon. Justice Yorokamu Bamwine, got awarded with a doctorate\r\ndegree.

The United Graduate College and Seminary International of\r\nTennessee, USA, honored him with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Humanities in recognition\r\nof his exemplary service as a career judicial officer, as an accomplished\r\nadministrator in the high office of Principal Judge and as an ardent initiator\r\nof Judicial reforms in the Ugandan Judiciary at a ceremony held at Kampala\r\nSerena Conference Centre.

In the citation Hon. Dr. Justice Yorokamu Bamwine is appreciated\r\nfor recently chairing a national task force for developing sentencing guidelines\r\nfor the courts of judicature, a task accomplished with dedication and\r\ndistinction.
\r\n\r\n
Courtesy of that effort, Uganda now enjoys a harmonized sentencing\r\nprocess that leads to justice for the victim, the accused and the public.
\r\n\r\n
The Judiciary congratulates Hon. Justice Doctor Bamwine upon this\r\nlandmark achievement.
